During college, I decided to attend a beach retreat where my life changed. I became aware of the invitation to “follow” and the command to “go.” The more that I learned of these concepts, the more that I realized I would like to live in obedience by seeking first the Kingdom and inviting others to do the same. Therefore, I worked in Manila, Philippines for two and a half years and another region of the world for several months. I am now excited to continue working with that same vision of joining in the work and seeing lives transformed as I seek to contribute to and resource global movements.

He is married to his beautiful wife, Kristin Viljoen, and has 4 wonderful kids. Campus Outreach Gauteng is an established and increasingly indigenous Campus Outreach franchise. In 2002, a team was sent out from Christ Covenant Church in Charlotte, NC with the hope of launching a new international Campus Outreach franchise in South Africa. Campus Outreach Gauteng officially launched in 2003. This also happened to be Jeffrey’s first year at the University of Johannesburg where he received a B.A. degree in Sport Psychology upon graduating in 2005. He also played rugby for the university. It was in his first year, as a very young believer (only a few months old) that he met a Campus Outreach staff worker. Eager to grow in his newfound faith, he began to be discipled by this CO staff person and grew tremendously in his faith. He joined the Campus Outreach Gauteng staff team in 2006 and has been serving in the ministry ever since. At the end of 2016, he stepped into the Regional Director Role of the ministry. Campus Outreach Johannesburg has been steadily and healthily growing over the past 15 years, where God has done some amazing things in the lives of South African students. Jeffrey’s story is one of the thousands of stories of God’s great redemptive work.
