During college, I decided to attend a beach retreat where my life changed. I became aware of the invitation to “follow” and the command to “go.” The more that I learned of these concepts, the more that I realized I would like to live in obedience by seeking first the Kingdom and inviting others to do the same. Therefore, I worked in Manila, Philippines for two and a half years and another region of the world for several months. I am now excited to continue working with that same vision of joining in the work and seeing lives transformed as I seek to contribute to and resource global movements.

I became a Christian in college, so I know first hand the impact that seeing other people living out their faith alongside you can have. I am so thankful for the girls who shared their faith with me and simply invited me along to things and loved me well as their friend. I know that I have been given so much in Christ, and I want to continue the multiplication that was passed onto me by pouring truth into other girls and pushing them towards Christ. I want to do this in New Zealand because the laborers are so few there, which means the need is so high. Though the need is very confronting in New Zealand, there is always hope in ministering to students because the gospel isn’t empty. It’s a healing, shame erasing, totally redeeming, comforting, eternal promise that we can point students to and rest confidently in because God is Who He says He is and that will never change.

  • Daniel Rimmereid

Daniel grew up in a loving Christian home. He went to Bethel University in St. Paul where the Lord used His church and Christian discipleship to deepen Daniel’s understanding of the gospel and his personal need for Jesus daily. During college, Daniel learned how to commune with the Lord, share his faith, study the bible and pray. Upon graduation, he worked in Minneapolis Public Schools for three years. During his final year, the Lord put on his heart a desire to pursue going overseas to see his gospel proclaimed to the ends of the earth. After two years in the Philippines, his heart grew for the need for many more laborers to go overseas. He now is working to send more laborers into the harvest by mobilizing the Midwest Network of Campus Outreach.
