I grew up going to church regularly but did not personally treasure Christ as Lord and Savior. Close study of the word with other students in college opened my eyes to my need to stop trying to justify myself and rest wholly in Jesus’ finished work. After graduating from NC State in 2015, I joined staff with Campus Outreach in SE Asia for 17 months. My time abroad made me hungry to continue to learn and grow in cross cultural missions, so I am now participating in a 2 year apprenticeship in the United Kingdom, serving at an evangelical church in Birmingham while getting a formal theological education at Union School of Theology.

Sam and Katy were both significantly impacted by Campus Outreach during their time at university. During that time, God changed the trajectory of their lives and gave them a desire to serve the Lord wherever He would call. They have served on staff with CO since 2015, married in 2016, and will move overseas in 2019. They have one daughter, Lilias Joy.

I came to know Christ during my junior year of college through a Campus Outreach New Year’s conference. As I grew in my relationship with Him, I also grew in my understanding of the importance of global missions. In 2014 my family moved to Manila, Philippines along with a team of recent CO grads to pioneer a new ministry. As that ministry is now established and growing, we are excited to be starting a new Campus Outreach region in Birmingham, England! We believe England is a strategic place to impact university students who could then transform their city, culture and the U.K. for the Glory of God.

Hayley became a Christian in 2011 through Campus Outreach at Wingate University. She graduated in 2013 and has been walking with the Lord while working as a preschool teacher in Charlotte, NC. After attending the Campus Outreach New Years Conference in January 2019, she began feeling the call to live her life more radically than the “normal” one she had settled into. She is so excited to have accepted a position as CO LEAD staff and to become part of the team in Birmingham, UK.

My name is Jacob Miller Heckman, and I was born to Lee and Crickett Heckman in Nashville, Tennessee. I lived in Tennessee all of my life before attending the University of South Alabama in Mobile. At South, I was a communications major, and I was involved in Campus Outreach for all 4 years. I learned to walk with the Lord in college, and I am currently trying to offer myself up as a vessel in which the Lord may use me for his work!
