I grew up going to church regularly but did not personally treasure Christ as Lord and Savior. Close study of the word with other students in college opened my eyes to my need to stop trying to justify myself and rest wholly in Jesus’ finished work. After graduating from NC State in 2015, I joined staff with Campus Outreach in SE Asia for 17 months. My time abroad made me hungry to continue to learn and grow in cross cultural missions, so I am now participating in a 2 year apprenticeship in the United Kingdom, serving at an evangelical church in Birmingham while getting a formal theological education at Union School of Theology.
The name is Melchisedec (Mel) Adobah. Born in Italy, raised in Ghana and moved to the U.S. about 5 years ago at the age of 16. I recently graduated college with a major in Biology. I enjoy playing soccer and throwing around a frisbee. Currently, I’m learning to play the guitar as a hobby. I love the outdoors and spending time in nature like hiking, taking a walk, running, among others. I came to know Christ in my freshman year of college and that took my life to a different trajectory, ultimately to make God’s name known.
