I came to know Christ during my junior year of college through a Campus Outreach New Year’s conference. As I grew in my relationship with Him, I also grew in my understanding of the importance of global missions. In 2014 my family moved to Manila, Philippines along with a team of recent CO grads to pioneer a new ministry. As that ministry is now established and growing, we are excited to be starting a new Campus Outreach region in Birmingham, England! We believe England is a strategic place to impact university students who could then transform their city, culture and the U.K. for the Glory of God.

Sam and Katy were both significantly impacted by the ministry of CO while at university. During that time, God changed the trajectory of their lives and gave them a desire to serve the Lord wherever He would call. They have served on staff with CO since 2015, married in 2016, and currently live and work in Birmingham, England helping pioneer a new CO ministry. They have a daughter, Lilias, and a son on the way.

Hayley became a Christian in 2011 through Campus Outreach at Wingate University. After living and working in Charlotte, NC for a few years, she began feeling the call to live her life more radically than the “normal” one she had settled into. In February 2020, she moved to Birmingham, UK to help launch the new Campus Outreach region there. After falling in love with the country, the people, and the ministry, she was offered to stay on to work for the team in Birmingham as Director of Member Care!

I was born and raised in a small town called Saginaw, TX. I grew up going to church most weekends and even partook in a majority of the youth activities growing up. It wasn’t until around my senior year of college that I surrendered my life to Christ and understood what it meant to call myself a Christian. I was impacted by staff within Campus Outreach at the University of Texas at Arlington. They helped establish me in my faith and equip me to pour my life out to others so that others may also come to know Jesus through my testimony. During that time the Lord has continued to press on my heart the need for labors within the world and it has ultimately lead me to CO LEAD and Birmingham, UK.

Alexis truly began walking with the Lord her sophomore year at Georgia Southern University. After attending Campus Outreach’s Fall retreat that year, she realized that she didn’t want to live any other way. Since that time, the Lord has continually used the body of Christ and this ministry to strengthen her walk with Him. During her first Summer Leadership Project, she heard about CO’s LEAD program and has since then pursued God’s calling to this opportunity to combine her two God-given passions: Jesus and people. She will be moving across the pond to Birmingham, England in hopes of prayerfully furthering God’s Kingdom.

I am from Rose Hill, KS, and just graduated from Kansas State University. I came to know the Lord during my freshman year of college through my campus organization, StuMo. After attending a summer project I learned about God’s heart for the world and how He desires for all people to hear the Good News and that I am commanded to share my faith with others. I am excited to be a part of what God is doing and will do in Birmingham, UK!

I’m from Springville, Alabama and I graduated from the University of South Alabama with an Exercise Science degree. During my time in college, I was involved with Campus Outreach where God really grew my heart for Him and for those who have never heard the Gospel. I was blessed to receive a lifetime’s worth of discipleship from faithful followers of Christ. God has put it in my heart to take all that I have been taught and share it with others. This has led me to decide to serve in Birmingham, England. I will be sharing the Gospel with students who have never heard about Jesus and discipling them to follow Christ just as I was discipled at South Alabama. I have a longing and a hope that God will use me for His glory to pass on the hope and faith He has freely given me. I’m excited to give this next part of my life for His purpose in England!

I am Genesis, and when I was at the University of West Georgia, the Lord broke my heart for His lost people. From that moment, I knew my calling was to go and share the gospel with the Nations. The love of Christ compelled my heart to give up the two things I loved the most in the world (friends & family) to go share the gospel to places where the laborers are few. If you would like to be a part of reaching the lost and join in this journey with me by giving financially, please scroll down.

The Dugan’s each came to Christ during their college years (Beau at UWG and Sarah at Auburn). As they began to follow Jesus, God’s heart for the world began to shape them deeply. The Lord called Beau and Sarah to go overseas with CO SERVE right after they graduated for about a year each. Beau served in Christchurch, NZ with the first team sent in 2016 and transitioned to CO staff at UWG 2017-2020. Sarah served in Brisbane, Australia 2017-2018.

These two met through CO SERVE after laboring for the gospel overseas. God directed their hearts towards one another, and they were married in October 2019! After a couple of years of ministry stateside with CO, God again directed their hearts to serve the Lord and His Kingdom in an overseas context. They are currently serving in Birmingham, England!

My name is Taylor Stewart, and I graduated from the University of Missouri in 2019. While in college my sophomore year, I began to become unsatisfied with my life and began to question if I could be living for something more. Around this time, one of my very good friends shared the gospel with me, and I began to investigate what it would look like to begin following Christ and made that decision at StuMo’s winter conference, SMC. Since making that decision, the Lord has opened my eyes to see His desire for every nation, tribe, people, and language to come to know Him personally and that I have the opportunity to play a small part in that!

I moved to Birmingham to study at University in 2008 and have been here ever since. My student years were a pivotal time in my life, when I thought through the implications of Jesus’ claim to be Lord in a way I hadn’t before. Either Jesus is who he says he is, which changes everything. Or he isn’t, so it changes nothing. Throughout that time, older Christians showed me what it looked like to live and speak for Jesus and I saw that I could trust him with my life. I’m excited to be involved with Campus Outreach and see students in Birmingham come to find that same hope in Christ.

Rachael grew up with a basic knowledge of the Bible, but it wasn’t until her freshman year of college that she learned following Christ meant to turn from her self-directed life and to trust in Jesus’ control. In college, Rachael studied Public Relations and International Studies while she shared her faith with those around her. Rachael was involved in a campus ministry and took every opportunity to grow in her faith in college. She loves God’s heart for all people and frequently went to international student events on campus. Rachael is excited to continue sharing the gospel with college students around her, now in the diverse city of Birmingham, England!

My name is Julie Muntean, and I graduated from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. God used my college experience to grow me so much in my faith and deepen my relationship with Him. Throughout college, the Lord allowed me to be around people who both encouraged me and challenged me in my walk with God. The Lord showed me what a delight it is to share the good news of the gospel by bringing people into my life who were interested in growing in their faith. After doing Bible study after Bible study, I realized there is so much joy in seeing the Lord work in another’s heart. While I amazingly watched Him work in others’ hearts, little did I know that He was slowly working in mine as well. He molded my heart to see His compassion for the lost and gave me a heart to see His kingdom grow. I am so excited to see all that the Lord has in store for Birmingham!

Jordan was born in Junction City Kansas and traveled a lot due to being part of a military family. He grew up in a household that valued morals but not necessarily the Christian faith. He decided to attend Kansas State University where he went to a faith based summer project. It is at that project Jordan gave his life to Christ and for the past 3 years has been growing deeper in his relationship with Christ and sharing that with others. Over the past year Jordan has grown a heart to see the whole world reached for the Gospel and that is why he has decided to go to Birmingham, England where he seeks to impact others spiritually.

I’m from Glen Carbon, Illinois and I graduated from the University of Missouri with a Journalism degree. I came to know the Lord personally my sophomore year of college when an older girl in my sorority shared the gospel with me. Throughout the rest of my time in college, God really grew my heart for the world. Because I was impacted by Christ in college, God has put in my heart a desire to share the gospel with college students around the world. This has led me to serve in Birmingham, England. I will have the opportunity to share the gospel with students who have never heard who Jesus is and show them what it looks like to have a relationship with God. I am excited for the Lord to use me to glorify Him and make his name known among the nations!

I was tricked into a Bible study my senior year of high school. So, coming into college at The Citadel I knew Christ, but I didn’t really learn what it meant to follow Him until I met a CO staff guy my first semester freshman year. After being able to both be discipled and disciple a few guys, I felt the Lord was telling me to come on staff in Charleston. Over the past 5 years, the Lord blessed me to do ministry at the College of Charleston and Charleston Southern where men have come to Christ, been discipled, and are seeking out others to share and disciple. I have felt the tug to go overseas for years and a desire to do ministry with specifically Muslims and post-modern people. From these prayers and desires, the Lord opened the door for me to join CO Birmingham in the UK! I’m excited to see what God has in store!
