Wilson grew up in Charlotte, NC, watching his parents devote themselves to Christ. In high school, Wilson established a habit of reading Scripture daily and began to repent from sin. When Wilson spent time with Campus Outreach staff and students at Wofford College, he learned the importance of knowing Christ and sharing the Good News with everyone. After seeing several friends in college choose to follow Christ, Wilson decided to devote his skills and passion to encourage college students in Thailand to follow Christ and be changed by God.
