Katie grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, where she learned about God, but she did not understand God wanted a personal relationship with her until her freshman year in college. That following summer, she attended a summer project through Student Mobilization. There, Katie learned how to daily walk with God and share her faith with others. Over the next three years in college, Katie continued to be developed as she learned how to make disciples, and God grew her heart for those around her. The summer before her senior year, Katie was privileged to attend a summer project overseas, where God showed her how He was moving across the world. This sparked her desire to make God known to all nations, and she is excited to continue on that path in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
